The Forward Surgical Team (FST) is one of the US Army’s primary medical assets intended to provide life and limb surgical intervention for the critically wounded. FST’s are prepared to rapidly deploy to forward areas of operation as necessary and provide unparalleled urgent surgical care for its patients in any environment or circumstance. The FST typically includes 20 staff members: 4 Surgeons, 3 RN's, 2 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA)'s, 1 Administrative Officer, 1 Detachment Sergeant, 3 Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)'s, 3 Surgical Techs and 3 Medics |
